Default Easter Egg

Frigid Skale, in Issnur Isles, Lahtenda Bog, Mehtani Keys, and the Plains of Jarin, me thinks they remind of a certain beast from a move Vin Diesel is in, ya know, the one before the Chronicles of Riddick. Only thing is these beasties should have been in the Nightfallen areas, as they are supposed to fry in the light. Check them out for yourselves!

I think they are based on hammerhead sharks actually. The beasts in Pitch Black had the same inspiration.

Yeah, have done and they look absolutely nothing like the 'Grue' from Pitch Black at all. The only creatures I've seen that even come close are the Bladed Termites, and even they don't look that much like the 'Grue' in Pitch Black.

Although, co-incidence or not, Pitch Black is actually based on Isaac Asimov's short story 'Nightfall'! Weird eh?

Ravenheart Gloom in DoA reminds me of Pitch Black more than anything else.

The whole thing with the wurms reminds me of Frank Herbert's 'Dune'.

I also think that the worms look a lot like the kraken in Pirate of the Carribean: Dead Mans Chest. At the very end of the movie... (not going to say more so I dont spoil the movie for anyone who hasnt seen it).

Yeah, it's obvious ArenaNet stole that concept off Disney.

Obviously. Guild Wars might have come out before the movie, and had things that look like kraken, but they clearly stole that from Disney.

Also ironically, Vin Diesel is starring in an upcoming movie called Rockfish.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0450319/

If you haven't heard of a Rockfish before, then jump onto YouTube and do a search for the video. Maybe we are going to see THESE big mothers in Guild Wars? Now that would be interesting ;-)

Like Disney changes very old stories from books and make them "happy stories" when show them animation form.

That's funny, the wurms remind me of Robin Williams in Good Morning, Vietnam in the bar drunk with the shrimp on his fingers...

Enadiz is Zidane spelled backwards. For those who don't know, he's that crazy ass soccer player that busted out a headbutt on an opposing player.

What's really funny, is the boss's Elite in the game is Headbutt.

Just because Disney used the idea of a Kraken doesn't mean that it looked like every other depiction of the said creature.

Saying it looked like the Kraken out of Pirates of the Carribean refers to the design of that depiciton of it. Don't razz the guy over it...
